Efren "The Magician" Reyes put the Philippines on the world map when he made this historical Z-Shot in 1995's Sand Regency Open 9-ball championship.

The score was tied at 12-12 in the race to 13 final against U.S Earl Strickland, Efren "The Magician" was in deep, deep trouble, the commentator was caught saying "Efren is in dead water and the worst position" while Earl is raising his two hands, thanking heavens for Efren's unlucky positioning shot.

But, the game is not yet over, Efren made this fantastic zigzag shot (now the famous Z-shot) the lucky crowd in attendance were awestruck and gave their standing ovation, and Earl's sportsmanship on this occasion was almost as remarkable as Efren's shot. Earl later told a billiards magazine reporter: “That shot will become part of pool history."
